Maintenance/Support Staff

Part Time– Monday- Friday 2pm-6pm weekends as needed

Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Job Overview:

Oversee the upkeep, cleaning, and small maintenance of the building and grounds.
Monitor the general appearance of the building making sure that a safe and presentable workplace is kept.
Perform necessary repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance.

Essential Functions of Position:

1. General upkeep of cleaning and maintaining the building.
2. Perform preventive maintenance tasks regularly
3. Possess excellent skill sets in carpentry, patching drywall, painting, plumbing, and fixing
minor electrical issues.
4. Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and repairing tiles as needed.
5. Changing burnt-out light bulbs, and changing ceiling tiles as needed.
6. Ability to use handheld power tools
7. Assist with snow removal.
8. Scheduling and training the cleaning crew to demonstrate and supervise quality control
by giving feedback to individuals on the cleaning crew.
9. Purchase required repair materials with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
10. Develop training strategies for individuals on specific jobs/tasks.
11. Assist Direct Care Staff in Monitoring individuals in the cafeteria during lunch breaks to
ensure the safety of the individuals and provide cleaning support for spills etc.
12. Assisting in receiving deliveries as needed.
13. Prepare documentation of existing conditions; work performed, time allocation, and
purchases.
14. Provide support during leave time to ensure the safe departure of individuals from
GROW at the end of the day as needed.
15. Maintain inventory control of supplies needed
16. Maintain current first aid and CPR certifications.
17. Attend trainings offered by GROW and outside the program.
18. Be a part of the team at GROW and offer support in delivering quality service to the
individuals served.
19. Possess basic math skills and, the ability to read and write.
20. Maintain a current driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
21. Perform other related work duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED required. Experience working with individuals with developmental
disabilities and experience with building maintenance.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Require valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Pass Criminal Background Check (CORI).
