Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is REC?
Answer: REC stands for Respite Enrichment Club. This program provides respite to families and offers meaningful activities, including community interaction and skill building.
What is included?
Answer: The program includes:
- 4 hours of respite staffing.
- Entrance into community activities.
- Dinner provided by the Grow Bistro.
- Transportation home from the activity for individuals who live in Randolph, Brockton, Abington, and Easton. Transportation for other towns may be available depending on availability.
- Program supplies.
What has changed about registration?
Answer: We have transitioned from a drop-in style registration to a structured registration system. Now, when you register, you will be signing up for an activity on a specific day of the week for a two-month period. For example, if you register for a paint night session in July and August, it will be held on Mondays for those two months.
Why did you change registration?
Answer: The new registration system allows us to better plan our staffing to ensure adequate supervision. It also helps us organize activities more effectively and plan meals from our bistro with greater accuracy.
How does payment work?
Answer: When you register for a class, you are paying for all the session dates for the session. Payment plans are available to accommodate different financial needs.
