Under the leadership of a Culinary Manager with over 20 years of experience as an Executive Chef, the Bistro provides a welcoming environment where participants, staff, and community members enjoy nutritious, freshly prepared meals. The Bistro operates as a dual-purpose facility, providing breakfast and lunch services to Grow participants and staff while offering catering options to the broader community. Beyond serving delicious food, the Bistro fosters personal growth and professional development, promoting independence and confidence among its participants.

Culinary Training Program
At the heart of the Bistro is a structured Culinary Training Program that equips adults aged 22 and older with developmental disabilities, including autism, with valuable skills for the food service industry. Designed in collaboration with Grow’s Supported Employment program, the training program focuses on building both technical and workplace skills in a real-world setting.

- Participants rotate through meal preparation, inventory management, register operation, stocking, cleaning, and overseeing the coffee station.
Skill Development
- Training emphasizes teamwork, customer service, time management, and kitchen safety.
Certifications
- Opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials such as ServSafe.
Real-World Experience
- Scheduled shifts allow participants from Day Habilitation and Community-Based Day Support groups to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning.
