Making a difference; this is what the individuals at GROW do each and every day. It may be a small thing like a welcoming smile or a big thing like contributing back to the community.
The individuals at GROW share their individual talents both in work and through participating in the community. This year alone GROW individuals volunteered over 7,837 hours of community service; giving back to the community in meaningful ways! GROW participants worked 14,712 hours with wages of $118,408 in real PAID jobs this past year! This represents only 60% of the people that we support who want to work.
Just think about what is possible if we were able to give everyone who wants to work the opportunity to work 15 hours a week or more. It would mean that they would contribute by serving an unmet need for businesses, receive a pay check, pay taxes, and have additional resources to use for their personal needs.
GROW is committed to find new ways of making the dreams of each person we support become real; we are working hard to open the doors to “new possibilities”. This of course takes resources that are not always there. This is why we need your help. By giving to our GROW program will allow us to do more customized one on one supports, provide better supports in the community, and allow us to continue to provide access through our transportation services.
See what “Giving Back” truly means to the individuals of GROW.
Salvation Army volunteers provide various opportunities for us to give back:
“Everyone took ownership of their work, showed amazing work ethic, and seemed to truly enjoy helping out. Captain Nicole repeatedly thanked the guys, stating that she never would’ve been able to get so much done without their help. The guys then had lunch at the center, enjoying some pizza, and talking with the other volunteers. I can tell you, the guys seemed to really enjoy their experience there and look forward to doing some more volunteer work with Salvation Army.“ Matt Parker
GROW Associates participated in a Donation Drive for the residents of Brockton this year. A really good deed for Father Bill’s & Mainspring set up by Nikki McCray. Our individuals and parents were really excited to participate and it showed in the gifts that were collected and presented. I thought the staff at Father Bills were going to faint when they saw all of our donations. They were really appreciative of GROW’s participation and stated that we just made a lot of very unfortunate families happy for the holidays. I’m really happy to have been part of this. Thank you to all who donated and a very special thanks our individuals that helped wrap and deliver the packages
The individuals at GROW want to contribute. Just like all of you, they want to have value and fulfillment in their lives; a rich cornucopia of options that make life truly lived!
As we end another great year and begin a New Year I’m asking for your help and support the individuals of GROW in real meaningful activities every day! Please consider making a donation to GROW Associates, help us make each person’s dream a reality.
